Hi!
We have a metal cooking pot at home. When I boil water, the handles don’t get hot! Why? Metal conducts, doesn’t it?
The handles are usually soldered on, since the contact surface between the handle and the pot is quite small.
There are metal handles that are hollow on the inside (so-called hollow metal handles). Since the heat from these handles is distributed over a relatively large surface, they only get moderately warm when cooking on the stove.
